Safely Transporting An Oversized Shipment By Air Freight for Steel Plant Project In Dung Quat, Quang Ngai

Vantage continues to gain customer’s trust, being awarded a shipment of equipment from Germany to a steel plant in Dung Quat.

Project: HOA PHAT STEEL PLANT, DUNG QUAT – QUANG NGAI 

Commodity: machinery and equipment are packed in wooden box

POL: Frankfurt Am Main International Airport, Germany

POD: Hochiminh City International Airport, Vietnam

Quantity: 10 packages, total volume 10,9 tons, the biggest unit 1.33mL x 0.93mW x 0.69mH x 1.5 tons.

Vantage’s scope: airfreight, airport charge, customs clearance, trucking from FOT Hochiminh airport to FOT customer’s factory. 

Upon receiving the shipment’s information, Vantage forecasted that the shipment would likely assess customs yellow channel; so we urged customer to send all the original documents for us to check in advance, saving time and avoiding storage cost; also, a correct HS code was suggested to customer to ensure correct customs declaration.

The shipment was completed customs clearance and delivered to the customer’s factory on October 11th, 2019, just within a half-day from flight arrival.
