Vantage Logistics Successfully Transported Heavy Rail Machinery for the Auckland Rail Programme Project from Laem Chabang Port, ThaiLand

Vantage Logistics’s scope of work:
  • Hygiene of cargo (Railway equipment) meets New Zealand’s import standards.
  • Inland transportation from the factory in Saraburi province, Thailand to Laem Chabang port, Thailand.
  • International Freight shipping from Thailand to New Zealand

Machinery (railroad equipment) is stored at a factory far from central Thailand. Hence, the work, including cargo assessment, hygiene, disinfection, and transportation, poses many difficulties and incurs additional costs.
Hygiene standards for cargo imported into New Zealand are very stringent. However, Vantage has successfully overcome these challenges by ensuring compliance with all regulations through the use of appropriate chemicals and materials. As a result, cargo is imported successfully and on schedule.

Although the shipment was urgent, Vantage Logistics organized the appropriate vessel schedule, always closely monitored the train schedule, and informed the parties regularly to ensure project progress was not affected.
