Vantage successfully transported Oversized and Overloaded Cargo for Monsoon Wind Power Project in Laos

The Monsoon Wind Power Project in Laos aims to harness renewable energy through wind power. Vantage Logistics was entrusted with the responsibility of handling the customs clearance and transportation of oversized and overloaded equipment crucial for the project.
Commodity: The shipment included a variety of heavy machinery:

2 Crawler Cranes (800T)
1 Mobile Crane (400T)
2 Mobile Cranes (95T)
2 Mobile Cranes (80T)

Vantage has completed the transportation of crucial equipment for the Monsoon Wind Power Project in Dak Cheung, Southern Sekong Province, Laos. The volume of this shipment: 250 PKGS / 2256 TONS / 5568 CBM, was transported from Chu Lai Port, Quảng Nam, Viet Nam

Volume: The dimensions of the cranes were as follows:

Crawler Cranes (800T): 13mL x 3.4mW x 3.8mH, weighing 92 tons each (2 PKGS)
Mobile Crane (400T): 18mL x 3mW x 4mH, weighing 72 tons
Mobile Crane (95T): 15.9mL x 3mW x 4mH, weighing 54 tons each (2 PKGS)
Mobile Crane (80T): 15mL x 3mW x 4mH, weighing 50 tons each (2 PKGS)

Scope of work for Vantage Logistics Corp: Vantage managed the customs clearance process in Viet Nam, handled operations at Chu Lai Port, Quang Nam, Viet Nam, and transported the cargo to the Monsoon project site in Laos. And carry out temporary import customs procedures in Laos.

Vantage Logistics is a customs agent and has an intermodal transport license. Vantage smoothly carried out transit procedures at Chu Lai port, Quang Nam, and transported the shipment to the Monsoon project site in Laos.
The transportation of seven oversized and overloaded cranes through mountainous terrain during the rainy season in Quang Nam presented significant challenges. Despite these obstacles, Vantage successfully delivered the cargo safely, adhering to the planned schedule and minimizing storage costs at the port.

Vantage’s dedicated on-site team at the Nam Giang border crossing in Quang Nam played a crucial role in expediting customs clearance and import procedures in Laos.
Vantage Logistics’ comprehensive transportation solution from the port to the project site, proved to be cost-effective for the client, avoiding unnecessary storage costs and shortening time at both the Viet Nam-Laos border and Chu Lai Port.
