Vantage Surpassed Difficulties and Successfully Handled The Shipment of Underwater Robot ROV

One day at the end of July 2018, Vantage’s Project Delegation received information from client about the shipment of underwater robot ROV which needed to be shipped to Singapore. Our scopes of work included working with shipping line to update ship’s schedule, companioning with shipper to deliver the shipment from Warehouse No.13 located in Vietsovpetro port to alongside ship, as well as loading attendance to ensure safely and timely loading as scheduled.

The shipment consisted of 9 packages with total volume of more than 53,000kgs, equivalent to 200CBM; scheduled ETD on August 6 at Vietsovpetro port and ETA on August 10 at Singapore.

Since the cargo was in the port’s warehouse, all moving activities must be exclusively done by the port team; however, due to some objective issues between the shipper and port management board, the port team do not accept to move cargo, which resulted high possibility of delaying in shipping schedule and generating storage fees.

Because of problems arising at the end of working day, while the loading time was at 8PM on the same day, Vantage had to race against time, took advantage of all relationships to help, push, and proactively involve in negotiation to clear the issue, which was finally cleared at “minute 89” and the shipment was timely and safely loaded onto the vessel as scheduled.
